1. Who we are

WebCustimify is a South African web agency based in Benoni, Gauteng. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit webcustimify.com or contact us through our quote form. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

We collect two categories of information:

Information you give us: when you submit our quote form or contact form, we collect your name, email, phone number and any details you share about your business or project.
Information collected automatically: when you visit our site, we (or our service providers) record technical data like your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, referring URLs, and how you interact with our content. We use this to understand how visitors use the site and improve it.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use the following third-party tools. They each have their own privacy policies which apply alongside ours.

Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity records mouse movements, clicks and scrolls so we can see how visitors use our site. Form input content is masked by default. You can opt out by rejecting cookies in our consent banner.
Vercel Analytics — aggregate page-view counts. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track individual visitors.
Vercel and Anthropic — host our site and power our AI features respectively. They process technical request data on our behalf.

You can withdraw your consent for cookie-based tracking at any time by clearing your browser's site data for webcustimify.com — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

4. How we use your information

To respond to quote requests and contact form submissions
To send you relevant project updates if you become a client
To understand site usage and improve the experience
To comply with our legal and tax obligations

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing campaigns without your explicit consent.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run our site and respond to you:

Resend — to deliver email replies and notifications when you submit a form
Microsoft Clarity — for the analytics described above (only if you accept cookies)
Vercel — to host the site and serve content
Anthropic — to power our AI chatbot demos (only on the demo pages, only when you interact with the chat)

6. Data retention

We retain quote and contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus seven years (for tax and legal records). Anonymous analytics data is retained according to the third-party provider's policy (Microsoft Clarity: up to 13 months).

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct or update inaccurate information
Request that we delete your information
Object to or withdraw consent for processing
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za
